How does the Face Analyzer calculate the score?

It detects a dense set of facial landmarks from your photo, derives geometric ratios and angles (proportions, spacing, symmetry, tilt), and scores how close those values sit to population norms on the traits with the strongest evidence: mainly structural averageness and symmetry. Those are combined into an internal score that is shown to you as a tier (Low, Mid, High, Chad) rather than a raw number.

What does the male calibration mean?

The reference norms the score compares against are drawn from male faces. Every result you see is interpreted on that male scale. The analyzer assumes the person analyzed is male.

What measurements are analyzed?

Accepted Answer

Frontal proportions and geometry: for example, width-to-length ratio, facial thirds, jaw and cheekbone width, eye width and spacing, canthal tilt, nose and mouth proportions, and left-right symmetry. Each is measured as a ratio so it is comparable across different photo sizes.

How accurate are the measurements?

They are estimates from a single 2D image, not clinical measurements. Landmark placement, head tilt, lens distortion and image quality all introduce error, so treat each value as an approximation with a margin, not an exact figure. The report shows a measurement-confidence figure to reflect this.

Why can lighting or camera angle affect the results?

Accepted Answer

The engine works from where it thinks each landmark is. Uneven lighting, shadows, a tilted or turned head, or a close-up lens shift those points and distort the ratios. A slight head turn alone can change eye spacing and width readings.

Why might the same person get slightly different results from different photos?

Accepted Answer

Because each photo places the landmarks slightly differently. Distance to camera, angle, expression and lighting all move the measured ratios a little, which can nudge a borderline value across a band. Consistent, straight-on photos give the most repeatable results.

What is the Structural Read?

Accepted Answer

It is the detailed section that shows each measured characteristic against its typical population range on a red-to-green bar. Green marks the typical band and the marker shows your value; features sitting outside the band are listed first with a Low, Moderate or High deviation label.

What does Face Type mean?

Accepted Answer

Face Type is a descriptive shape archetype (the closest overall face-shape pattern). It is a secondary label for context only and does not feed into or change the rating.

Is the score an objective measure of attractiveness?

Accepted Answer

No. It measures structural typicality and symmetry against a reference population, not beauty. Attractiveness also depends on skin, grooming, expression, coloring and full 3D structure, none of which a frontal geometric read captures. Treat the tier as one structured signal, not a verdict.

Is the analyzer trained for women?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. The current calibration is male-only. Female faces would be scored against the wrong reference, so results for them are not shown. Female calibration may be added later.

What kind of photo produces the most reliable analysis?

Accepted Answer

A straight-on, front-facing photo with even, diffuse lighting, a neutral expression, hair off the face, no glasses, and the camera at eye level a little back from the face (to avoid close-up lens distortion).
